It was a huge surprise to get a notification for a YouTube livestream from BTS this morning 'cause they usually use V Live exclusively. RM said they decided to start doing this live content because a lot of the concerts have been postponed or canceled for a prolonged period of time so they wanted to try something new. Whereas their livestreams on V Live are meant to chat with the fans, these ones on YouTube are literally logs in video format, giving us glimpses into their daily lives. (There are no official subtitles for this log yet, but I followed it with these translations here. Bless translators, seriously. They're the real MVPs when you're an international ARMY.)
I personally love this format — it's a combination of their old logs and their V Lives. The biggest news we got from RM's log today is that they're preparing for a new album already. (I swear, these guys work like machines. Map of the Soul: 7 was released literally two months ago.) He also said all the members will turn this on once a week or so to share their daily goings-on. It'll be interesting to see all the members' updates during the album-making process, and see how these live logs will pan out. Knowing BigHit, they have something much bigger in store — it's not a coincidence that this log came out right before their concert-at-home streaming event this weekend.
