It's the birthday weekend of our beloved Suga, a.k.a. Mr. Min Yoongi, so obviously we hit up some birthday cafe events, starting at — you guessed it — Bloom Cafe.
Happy Suga Day!

I got a flat white this time (just to change it up, but quite frankly, I still can't tell the difference between a flat white and a cafe latte), while Ying got an Earl Grey tea, and we decided to share two Japanese double fromage cheesecakes — one strawberry and one sakura. Both are light, smooth, fluffy, and not too sweet — the sakura one surprisingly doesn't taste floral, but rather just like a mildly sweet original cheesecake — and they might actually be my new favourite offering from Bloom, now having worked our way through their entire pastry menu.

The cup sleeves for this event were unfortunately delayed at customs due to coronavirus (they were being shipped from Korea), but our host, Sandy (who also hosted one of the Tae events we went to last year!) apologized profusely and made sure to get our addresses to ship the sleeves to us when they arrived. It was disappointing, of course, especially to her (she paid extra for express shipping so she was even more pissed that they didn't arrive on time) but she totally consoled us with a plethora of photo cards and mini banners, not to mention all the effort and money she spent out of her own pocket to host this event.

But the coolest things we saw were the poster and two photo cards that feature "moving art." They're created with an app called Artivive — you put your phone camera over the photo using the app, and it becomes a video clip!

Thank you so much to Sandy for hosting and organizing such an beautiful event — we had such a fun time and loved catching up with her and chatting with other ARMYs (in fact, we stayed there for nearly two hours — much longer than we'd normally spend at these events)! HAPPY SUGA DAY! 💜🎉
