Did I stay up until 9:30 this morning just to watch BTS being interviewed on The Today Show for five minutes? Yes, yes I did. It's comeback day, and I am a dedicated ARMY, after all. (Who needs sleep when there's new BTS music to be listened to?) They looked adorable and were styled beautifully in sleek outfits as usual, and they made the most out of the time they were given by answering the questions diligently and sharing the excitement of their new album with the fans. But do I think it was a hugely wasted opportunity to not give them more air time instead of say, some stupid pizza-making segment or talking about a fucking ice skate at the Smithsonian? Abso-fucking-lutely. Especially when BTS actually managed to fit The Today Show into their insanely packed schedule. Like, NBC managed to snag the biggest global musical act for a televised public interview and gave them five fucking minutes? Not to mention that they've probably had no sleep, it's fucking freezing outside in NYC, and the fans had waited for literal days just to get a spot to see them in that crowd. NBC needed to plan this out way, way, way better, especially after hyping it up for weeks beforehand.
