Here, we see BTS in white, looking pure and pristine, in a dark, run-down, desolate room with a massive black abyss in the ground; a juxtaposition that seems reflective of Jung's Shadow archetype concept that one must learn to co-exist with their destructive side. This photoshoot is based on their song, "Black Swan," as we see white feathers falling into the abyss — the white swans giving part of themselves to the Shadow. As Suga said, "One message that penetrates the album as a whole is that you must face your inner shadows but resist becoming submerged into its depths." Will they be able to resist falling in?
