The first time I ever heard a Younha song was through this duet cover that RM participated in for a TV program in 2016. Since then, RM has recommended Younha's songs through social media and has mentioned how much he respects her as an artist. Last month, it was announced that they (finally!) have a collaboration together. The song, "Winter Flower," on her latest EP, Unstable Mindset, was released today. And holy shit, this girl can fucking BELT IT. I didn't realize the kind of range and power her voice has, but I literally get goosebumps every time I listen to this song (I put it on repeat while I was in the shower, so I've listened to it about eight times through so far). RM's cadence and flow — which starts off soft and mellow and gets stronger and faster throughout his verse — provides the perfect counterpart to Younha's vocals. This song literally sounds epic. Like, it could easily be featured in a romance-fantasy K-drama or film — you know that part during the climax when the main character has been struggling to make it work with their lover but finally has their epiphany and runs out to find them only to find out that they're gone? (Actually, it would be right at home on the Goblin OST.) Yeah, I may or may not run a whole movie scene in my head during the entirety of this song...
