Went to my grandma's 89th birthday celebration today! It's the first time in maybe a decade that I've actually been able to attend a family lunch because I didn't have work. All the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids went over to her apartment for a tasty dim sum lunch (plus noodles and fried rice and crispy roasted pork belly!), with longevity peach buns as per birthday tradition. Then we sang happy birthday and devoured the delightful Mango Dream Cake we picked up for her at Maxim's last night. Leaving full and sleepy, I went home right after and took a four-hour nap. What a glorious way to spend a Saturday!
