I thought I should treat myself to something fun this weekend since it's my first full weekend off from work since my vacation, so Maegan, Jason, and I went to Wooffles & Cream. It's been a while since I'd been back there and I wanted to try something new, so I got the Earl Grey & Toffee egg waffle with their limited edition hojicha vanilla swirl soft serve, and this might be my new favourite combo. The waffle has a bright lemon note to it from the Earl Grey that keeps it light and fragrant, and it pairs incredibly well with the roasted tea flavour of the ice cream. It might be a little premature to say, but so far, I prefer Wooffles & Cream to Golden Bubbles. They just have more distinct and unique flavours in their waffles, and soft serve works better with egg waffles than regular ice cream because you can actually dip your waffle bubbles in it. Obviously, I will need to do a little more research to make a concrete statement. It'll be hard work, but I am up to the task.
