"Singularly" is V's solo for Love Yourself 轉 'Tear'; Jimin sang "Serendipity" for Love Yourself 承 'Her,' Jungkook sang "Euphoria" for Love Yourself 起 'Wonder,' and Jin will likely sing the solo for the last instalment of the Love Yourself series to complete the vocal line solos. Whereas Jimin's voice has a gentle sweetness that was perfect for "Serendipity" and Jungkook's voice has a warm, airy, brightness that was perfect for "Euphoria," V's vocals suit neo soul and R&B really, really well; his voice has a rich, haunting depth that perfectly complements the deep bass and jazz tones of "Singularity." It almost seems like a follow-up to "Stigma" (V's solo from Wings), which has a similar feel. There's a mysterious, melancholic mood to this song that hints at the darker themes that the new album will explore. 12 more days until Love Yourself 轉 'Tear'! I cannot fucking wait.
