The Lights on the Horizon Tour: Metric — Gimme Sympathy

Here's the video I filmed of Metric performing an acoustic version of "Gimme Sympathy" during the Lights on the Horizon tour with Death Cab for Cutie at Air Canada Centre on March 23, 2016. Even though I've been following Metric's career for well over a decade (I remember buying Old World Underground, Where Are You Now? at the HMV flagship store at Yonge and Dundas after one of my lectures when I was a freshman at Ryerson in 2004), "Gimme Sympathy" will always be marked as the song that launched them into the mainstream and, in the same way that "Soul Meets Body" is for Death Cab for Cutie, the defining song of Metric's career.
