Phiff! is a peachy beige-tinted clear base with silver and gold glitter in the Dazzleglass formula. This is a re-promoted shade from 2011's Dazzlesphere collection, and is limited edition. Over Indulgence is a medium-dark rose-tinted brown in the Cremesheen Glass formula. This is a permanent shade. The texture is lightweight and creamy, and it goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium pigmentation and semi-opaque colour pay-off. It is darker and more brown than Deelight, and more sheer than Spice Lipglass.

The nude lip gloss set that MAC came out with this year is nothing terribly new or exciting — two of these shades are re-promotes and two of them are permanent. That having been said, I do appreciate the range in shades in this year's nude set even though one of them is technically a plum and not a nude at all. I also like that there's something here to suit every skintone, as a "nude" set should. As always, the holiday lip gloss sets in general are always a really good value. The Dazzleglasses in these sets actually have more product than their full-size counterparts (2.4 g vs. 1.9 g), and the Cremesheen Glasses are actually full-size (2.4 g). In total, you are getting $98 worth of lip gloss for $38.50! If you like the formulas included in this set and you like at least two of the shades, it's definitely worth getting, especially if you don't already have any of these or you do have one or more these and need a replacement.
These are kind of boring but I do like that there's more distinguishable variety of shades in this set. It's a nice moneysaver for those who need four low key glosses for whatever reason, lol.
ReplyDeleteLol, totally agree. Nude colours rarely ever excite me these days, anyhow. :P But, yes, these are nice low-key shades, and are great for people who like their neutrals or work in more conservative places.
DeleteAgree with Liz's comment above. I'm not sure I'd buy this set but I certainly think there are people out there who would totally love it!
ReplyDeleteI think MAC should come out with customizable sets at some point because a lot of people that like the lighter shades really don't like the darker/brighter ones and vice versa.
