This week's Friday Five:
- The Seven Dwarfs are Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful, Grumpy, Dopey, Happy, and Doc. Which would be the easiest role for you to play today? It's my day off and I'm going to see Weezer tonight, so probably Happy! But I feel like I'd be Sleepy more often than not.
- Santa's eight tiny reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. Which would be the most apt nickname for you today? Vixen, obviously. All day, e'eryday. Just kidding. Maybe with enough coffee, I could be Prancer. Or Blitzen.
- The kids on Eight is Enough were David, Mary, Joanie, Susan, Nancy, Elizabeth, Tommy, and Nicholas. Which of these names have you known the highest number of? Which of these the least? I think I've known the highest amount of Davids and Elizabeths. I've never met a single Joanie, though.
- The creatures in the Chinese zodiac are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, goat, horse, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. Forget which one you are according to the calendar; which one do you imagine yourself most like? I actually do think I am most like my sign, which is the Tiger. Some characteristics: tolerant, staunch, valiant, respected, frank, easy to win others' trust, strong sense of errantry, intelligent, charming, faithful, sensitive, introspective, virtuous, deep-thinking, capable of great sympathy, short-tempered, hasty decision-making, over-confident, suspicious.
- Each of the Five Chinese Brothers had a special talent: One could swallow the entire sea; one had an iron neck; one could hold his breath forever, one could stretch his legs as far as he needed; one could withstand fire. Which of these peculiarities would have been most useful to you this past week? I guess stretching my legs as far as I need, 'cause I'm pretty short. And it would be especially useful tonight, since I'm going to a concert.
Swallowing the entire sea would have been REALLY handy during the stupid flood/power outage situation, LOL.
ReplyDeleteLOL, soooo brutal. It was maybe, like, drizzling up here in the 'burbs. I was SO shocked when I woke up from a nap and saw all the photos on the news of the flood. I was like, "WHAT DID I JUST SLEEP THROUGH?!?!"
