Last month, MAC decided to re-release ten shades of Lipglass from last May's Fashion Sets collection as an extension of their permanent line-up. All ten shades were previously new and limited edition (and some shades were not available in-stores in North America), and are now available permanently at all MAC locations. Lipglass is vanilla-scented but taste-free, and comes with a doe-foot applicator. Each Lipglass comes in regular black packaging, contains 4.8 grams of product, and retails for $18. These shades are applicable for the Back To MAC recycling program at MAC Stores only.

Overall, I thought this was a much-needed extension to MAC's permanent Lipglass selection, which had an abundance of neutral or brown-based shades, but was seriously lacking in pink or pink-based shades. I also thought it was smart of MAC to make complementary shades to some of their most popular lipstick shades because I know a lot of people often want matching glosses to their lipsticks. The formula of these new shades were good across the board as well, giving mostly opaque colour coverage, and applying smoothly and evenly (with the exception of a couple shades, which went on patchier due to its milkiness). If you like the Lipglass formula, these new shades are worth checking out. But there's no need to rush for once — these are actually permanent.
Long live Spice!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this was such a great idea. Also great that they're permanent. Rebel looks great - I might like the gloss version more than the lipstick.
Haha, yeah, Spice is still a classic and a best-selling shade to this day! But I actually never wear the lip pencil... I guess I've never really been into that kind of colour, though. :P
DeleteAgreed, this was a smart move on MAC's part. Rebel lipstick will always have a special place in my heart, so I don't like the gloss better, but it is gorgeous for real. :) I'll give one to you next time we meet up!
