This past Thursday, MAC released a new collection called Too Supreme. This collection features 24 products, and sees the release of 13 shades of Sheen Supreme Lipstick — nine of which are permanent at MAC Stores and new and permanent at partnered locations, three of which are permanent at all locations, and one of which is new and permanent at all locations (only eight will be reviewed here). Sheen Supreme Lipsticks are like a hybrid of lipstick, lip balm, and lip gloss. It has the saturated colour of a lipstick, the creamy texture of a lip balm, and the shininess of a gloss. They go on extremely smooth and lightweight. Each Sheen Supreme Lipstick comes in black glossy cylindrical tubes, contains 3.6 grams of product, and retails for $17.50. These are not applicable for the Back to MAC recycling program.

I love Sheen Supreme Lipsticks. I wish the wear time was a little longer — the darker shades will obviously have a longer wear time (about five hours), but the lighter shades will last about two to three hours before needing to re-apply — but I love everything else about these lipsticks. They feel really comfortable on the lip, creamy and slick and moisturizing, and give off really gorgeous, saturated colour. I love that these shades (which were originally created for Korea) are now permanent everywhere, as they were originally only available online and at MAC Stores. Those who prefer mattes can easily skip these, but for those who like more shine and creaminess in their lipsticks will love these.
all those colors look amazing!!!! I want them all!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm surprised you don't have one! Royal Azalea seems right up your alley, given your love of soft, pastel-y pinks. ;)
DeleteThey were Korean-only shades?? Yeah, the orange/pink makes sense... Zen Rose is quite pretty.
ReplyDeleteBut why aren't they eligible for Back to MAC??? I would never know these things if it weren't for you!
Yep! These shades were inspired by Korean culture and trends and were exclusive to Korea, and they became available in North America last summer. :) Zen Rose is my favourite, followed by Korean Candy. Love my brights! Although I love Blossom Culture for everyday. :)
DeleteThe only lipsticks that are currently available for the Back to MAC program are the regular ones in silver tubes, including permanent and limited edition (as long as the actual tube is in black and silver). It's the same with the Lipglass -- only the original Lipglass formula is applicable (not Plushglass or Lustreglass or Cremesheen Glass, etc.). And with eyeshadows -- only the original eyeshadows are applicable (not Mineralize, not Pro Longwear, etc.).
They seem kind of Lip Butter-ish. Is that where Revlon got the idea, I wonder...?
ReplyDeleteHey, Dee! It's very possible that Revlon got the idea from this, but MAC doesn't really market this product as a lip butter, or even as moisturizing, which is the weird thing! They market it as more of a creamy lipstick that provides a really nice glossy shine. I personally do find these to be creamier than the Lip Butters, and offer more colour, for the most part... And I also find them to be similarly moisturizing, come to think of it. But of course, these are about double the price of the Revlon ones, lol. But these will certainly appeal to those who like the Revlon Lip Butters. :)
DeleteTotally loving the peachy pinks!
ReplyDeleteThey all look soo yummy.
I know, right?! I'm so glad these are permanent everywhere now! Blossom Culture should be right up your alley. :)
DeleteIt totally is!
DeleteI've been wearing the Shy Girl lippy regularly..kind of love it. Thanks!
I totally had a Shy Girl phase last year. Still one of my faves! :) And you're welcome!
DeleteI'm a bit interesting in Tea Ceremony..maybe it's because I love tea way too much. I haven't seen it in Norway but it's not a full-fledged store.
ReplyDeleteLOL, interested, I mean.
DeleteTea Ceremony has a lot of orange tones in it, so definitely try it on in store! It should be available internationally starting this month, at all locations. :)
