I wanted to take a (short) break from the glitter polishes (mostly because taking it off is rather time consuming), so I busted out OPI's Fly, which is from the Nicki Minaj collection. It's a really fun medium bright turquoise cream. The formula is fantastic, and it gives smooth, even application and goes opaque in one coat. I thought this shade might be easily dupeable, but it's proving to be more unique that I originally thought: Zoya's Robyn and Sephora by OPI's Slushied are much more blue, Illamasqua's Muse and Essie's Go Overboard are way darker, MAC's Ocean Dip and Essie's Turquoise & Caicos are lighter and more green, China Glaze's Flyin' High is less vibrant, and Nails Inc. London's Warwick Way is more teal. Point is, if you like turquoise nail polish, you will love Fly. Whether you like Nicki Minaj or not is a different story. And I promise my next post will not include nail polish!

If you like brights, the Nicki Minaj for OPI collection is worth taking a look at! And they have those mini sets, like the one you got from The Muppets collection. :) I tried the acid green colour on my toes, and it also goes opaque in one coat. Very impressive! :)

ReplyDeleteI skimmed past the collection but this blue looks so nice on the nails. I don't wear blue on the fingertips very often but have plenty to keep me busy without adding another to the mix. (I have Slushied which is different but still...)
So I may have one too many nail polishes. IS THAT SUCH A CRIME? SNIFF. :(
DeleteIn the Nicki Minaj collection, it was mostly the glitter (Save Me) that caught my eye... But you know I can't resist a good blue. And a good green. (And then I bought Pink Friday, too, 'cause I don't really own pink nail polishes.) But blues sucker me in every time. They make my hands look cleaner and healthier. :P THAT'S MY REASON AND I'M STICKIN' TO IT.
Oh, that's interesting. A lot of blues make me look jaundiced.

It's true, some shades of blue can make hands look jaundiced... Most of them have worked well on me, though. :D And I will probably do a post on my various make-up collections someday, lol! I just need to, you know... organize a bit...
