Lollia Poetic License Candles

I am sick (yet again) with a cold and have been sitting around at home watching Chuck on DVD, so it was a nice surprise (a.k.a. the highlight of my day) when I got my order from Indigo in the mail today! For me, winter is candle season, so I ordered six of Lollia's Poetic License candles because they were 50% off, at $14.75 each instead of $29.50. I was super tempted to buy these candles when they were at full price but I couldn't justify it, so you can imagine how happy I was when I saw that these were on sale on Indigo's online store!

I ended up getting:

No. 41: Bittersweet — Red currant, mandarin, bitter orange, peony, lotus blossom, teak, and white musk

No. 48: Sleeping Under The Stars — Bamboo petal, bergamot, dewy water lily, blue water lotus, white freesia, white patchouli, beachwood, and sheer musk

No. 50: The Air I'm Breathing — Orange blossom, bergamot, white tea, bamboo, pressed petals, nutmeg, ginger root, and thyme

No. 56: Score From The End Credits — Juicy persimmon, pomegranate, cut greens, black orchid, lotus blossom, champaca, amber, black violet, exotic mahogany wood

No. 85: When The Leaves Turn — Green tulip, water hyacinth, cut greens, bamboo, sage, lily of the valley, and teak wood

No. 88: Velvet As Night — Bergamot, cassis, night blooming jasmine, vanilla, patchouli, and sandalwood

All of them smell good, but I think my favourite is No. 41: Bittersweet; it's fresh and subtly sweet, perfect for everyday. I can see No. 88: Velvet As Night being great for this winter, though; something about it makes me feel cozy and warm. But my favourite thing about these candles, other than the whimsical names, is the packaging. Oh, so gorgeous. Each scent comes in a differently coloured box with luxe gold accents that is sturdy enough to keep afterwards to keep trinkets or pens or what have you. The candle itself comes in a square, streamlined glass — great to keep when they're finished and cleaned out (to store make-up brushes!). These are fantastic for yourself and for gifts; grab them on sale while you can!
