Met up with Dom after work for dinner at Moxie's. I hadn't realized that they cut down so much of their old menu, so after much debate, I ordered the Penne Toscata, which includes Italian sausage and bacon in a creamy tomato, pesto, and white wine reduction. This pasta had so much potential, but it ended up being very lackluster. I'm not sure why I didn't love it; there was something about the flavours that didn't work very well together. I've definitely had way better pasta dishes for the same price. Then again, it's Moxie's, and they've always been mediocre at best.
I've only ever been to Moxie's once and it was so awful. :(

I feel like I always go in hopes that the food will get better, 'cause the ambiance is so much nicer than it was before (Moxie's used to be quite ghetto, actually, and I remember getting a killer case of stomach flu after eating there several years ago...). But the food really never gets better. :(
