Fresh Daisy is a bright white with yellow undertones in a Frost finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It reminds me of Nylon eyeshadow, but perhaps more white. It goes on soft, smooth, and very pigmented. In application, I prefer to use this to brighten the inner corner of my eyes rather than as a highlighter, because it's very stark. Free To Be is a bright medium coral-pink in a Matte finish. It is a permanent shade. It doesn't swatch as pigmented as it goes on in actual execution with a brush, but it does go on smoothly. Lucky Green is a bright chartreuse-frosted lime green in a Veluxe Pearl finish. It is a permanent shade. It goes on soft, smooth, and very pigmented. A must-have for those who love green shades.
Groundcover is a mid-tone taupe grey in a Matte finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It is more pigmented than Aqua, but lacks the softness in texture that usually makes darker matte shades go on easily. This shade reminds me of a darker version of Coquette. Aqua is a pale aqua blue in a Matte finish. This is a permanent shade at PRO. It's quite powdery, and needs quite a few layers to get decent colour intensity, but it can get there. I do recommend this for lighter skintones, though, because it can look chalky on its own. Bows & Curtseys is a metallic blackened hunter green in a Satin finish. It is a new and limited edition shade. I was surprised that this is a Satin finish, because it looks and applies more like a Veluxe Pearl — soft, smooth, and beautifully pigmented. It also has a gorgeous blue-green metallic sheen. It does swatch more black than green, but it definitely pulls more green in execution.
The must-haves from this collection are Lucky Green and Bows & Curtseys, though seeing as Lucky Green is permanent, the only one I'd really check out at this point is Bows & Curtseys. It really is a beautiful shade and applies really nicely. Fresh Daisy also applied beautifully and very pigmented, but because the shade itself is so white, it will only appeal to a handful of people. While I love the adorable embossed daisies on the powders, I found that it hindered the Matte shades in this release, only because the uneven surface makes it harder to get full pigmentation.
Holy crap, you bought the entire collection!
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking Free to Be, but I don't see myself using that very much at all.
Nothing for me from this release, sadly:-(
Lol, to be fair, I didn't technically buy the ENTIRE collection... I do get a portion of any new collection as gratis, and if I want something else from a collection, I get a nice discount. :P
ReplyDeleteI used to be like, "I'd never wear that colour!" but now I'll pretty much try any colour at least once... I've actually been wearing Free To Be quite frequently! I mix it in with Sushi Flower and Hepcat and do a really bright eye look. :)
Wait 'till I do the lipsticks post. ;)
