NYC (Winter 2011): Day 4, Kang Suh

Shawn and I were starving after Wicked was over, so I called my brother for a dinner suggestion that was still open (it was around 11:00pm) and relatively cheap, and he said to head to K-Town. So I was like, "Alright, Korean food it is." We ended up going to Kang Suh, which is open 24/7. Both Shawn and I ordered the bibimbap (julienned vegetables, tofu, ground beef, and an egg with chili pepper paste on a bed of rice) served in a hot stone pot. It was pretty good; not the best I've ever had, but it was authentic, filling, satisfying, and didn't break the bank. Plus, we also got six or seven different little starter dishes (as is common with Korean restaurants), and our bibimbap came with a smaller hot stone pot with a scrambled egg in boiling water. I'm not sure why they gave us the extra egg, but it was pretty tasty. Kang Suh is definitely great for a late-night meal, especially when you don't want fast food (as is usually the case when you can't find any open restaurants).
