I went to the MAC counter at Markville to return six containers for their Back2MAC recycling program today, and chose a lipstick in Up The Amp as my free product. It looks kind of daunting in the tube: a vibrant purple shade with a warm pink base to it. It's not a light purple or a lilac, even though MAC describes it as a "lavender violet." It's a lipstick that makes a statement. That being said, however, it is a gorgeous shade, especially on medium to dark skin tones. It goes on creamy and opaque, and is in an Amplified Creme finish, so it feels great on the lips. If you aren't afraid of wearing colour, I totally recommend checking this shade out.
