MAC Wonder Woman, Part II

The MAC Wonder Woman collection features two new and limited edition Mineralize Skinfinish powders. They are both super-sized, each packing a whopping 20 grams of product, which is double the size of a regular Mineralize Skinfinish powder. Each compact is $42, which is $8.50 more than the regular size, but you're getting more bang for your buck. Whether or not you'll ever use up the compact is another question. The only thing I don't like about the jumbo sized compacts is that they're a bit cumbersome to hold, and a bit too big to travel with as it's also quite hefty in weight.

Each Wonder Woman Mineralize Skinfinish comes with three colours. Pink Power has a peachy pink with pink shimmer, a soft golden tan with a satin sheen, and a pale beige champagne with fine shell pink shimmer. I find Pink Power to be more suitable for light to medium skintones, though those with both warm and cool undertones can use it, as it's fairly neutral. Golden Lariat has an orange-coral with soft gold shimmer, a reddened bronze with a subtle pearly sheen, and a pale yellow gold with white-gold shimmer. This is better for medium to dark skintones, and with warm undertones as it may be too orange for those with cool undertones. Because of the jumbo sizes, it's easy to use all three shades in each compact separately. I find it's best to use each shade as a highlighter, bronzer, and blush.

The MAC Wonder Woman collection also sees the release of two new and limited edition powder blush duos. These are also super-sized, coming in at 11 grams each, which is nearly double the amount of a regular MAC blush (which is 6 grams). It's actually the same size as MAC's Beauty Powders. Each Wonder Woman Blush Duo is $29, whereas a regular blush is $23.50. They're definitely easier to hold and more travel-friendly than the Mineralize Skinfinish compacts.

Amazon Princess features a bright cool-toned cotton candy pink in a satin finish and a deep berry pink with a soft gold sheen. Both shades are super pigmented and easy to over-do, so a light hand is in order here. Even though it's a more cool-toned duo, I think Amazon Princess will really add a pop of colour to any complexion. This is definitely for those who aren't afraid of a brighter cheek colour. Mighty Aphrodite features a pink coral with a peach sheen and a deeper red coral with a pink sheen. Out of the two, Mighty Aphrodite is more wearable if only because it'll suit more skintones. It does lean warmer, but I think it'll still look good on those with cooler undertones, because of the pink tones to the shades. It will be slightly harder to use the smaller shade in the duo, though using a smaller brush (e.g. MAC #109) can solve the problem easily.
