My BTS BE merch finally arrived!

The pre-order for this collection was in November, so my friend Maegan in Winnipeg sent money to buy me the candle as a birthday present. But the candle was one of the items I actually really wanted, so I decided to order two, which ended up being a good idea since it was the first item to sell out. (As I'm actually allowed to light candles in my home now, I've become kind of obsessed with them.) There was actually no description of the scent aside from "cozy," so it was quite risky to buy not one, but two of them. Luckily, I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. 

The scent is a clean floral with a hint of musk. It's very much a unisex scent with a very subtle sweetness, and is strangely addictive. (To put it in another perspective, it smells like a hot guy who put on freshly laundered clothes and spritzed on some cologne or maybe some aftershave and he walked through a field of flowers and then strolled into a bookstore. And you happen to also be in that bookstore and walked by him, and caught a whiff. And all of a sudden, you are ENTIRELY ENAMOURED by this hot guy. Not just because he's hot, but because he smells SO DAMN GOOD.) Basically, it's perfect to use all year round. The wax is black and it comes in a beautifully minimalistic glass holder with the lyrics to "Blue & Grey," handwritten by Tae, printed on the outside and the title of the song imprinted in the wooden lid. And the design of the holder makes it perfect to keep as a drinking glass when it's done.

The only other item I got from this collection was the muffler scarf because I knew I was actually going to use it. There were other items like an umbrella or a silk pajama set that were really cute, but I knew the cost per use would've remained high since I have so many iterations of those already. (Most of them are from BTS or BT21, too. And how often am I going out in the rain these days?) What's great about this scarf is that it's made with corduroy, which is warm but not itchy like wool, and it's long enough to wrap around twice or fold it in half and loop it through. (Given the material of the scarf, I would likely do the loop-through.) The scarf features the lyrics for "Stay" (my favourite song from BE), handwritten by Jungkook, and a little BE tag on the side. 

What I love about this collection is that it was much more carefully curated and minimalistic in both colour and design than many of their other releases. And each item features a different song from BE with the lyrics handwritten by each member, so it also feels more personal. It's why I didn't buy a lot from the Map of the Soul Pop-Up collections — there were literally dozens of items that came out in bi-weekly intervals, but aside from the three things I bought, nothing else was really to my taste. (And honestly, some things were either downright tacky or gimmicky.) 

Now excuse me while I light my candle and think of hot guys in bookstores.
