Met up with Ronsee for dinner this evening and decided to get sushi — unintentionally our go-to meal when we meet up because it's the only time we actually get to have sushi these days. We usually just go to Gal's Sushi because it's dependable and nearby, but I saw a post on Instagram from a local foodie who recommended Hug Sushi for its quality and pricing, so we decided to order a 45-piece sushi-sashimi platter and a torched salmon roll. For the sole reason of including uni in their platter, I would go to Hug Sushi over other places, but the fact that the platter and the roll together was under $50 after tax? For the same quality? Yeah, I'll drive the extra two minutes to go to Hug Sushi instead.
