Since there were no birthday cup sleeve events for Jin this year in Toronto, Ying and I decided to take matters into our own hands and went back to Machi Machi to celebrate BTS' beloved oldest member's 29th birthday. (Again, they played a trio of BTS songs — "The Truth Untold," "My Time," and "ON" — back-to-back once we entered the store, so we knew it was meant to be. We asked the girls who worked there which employee is an ARMY, and they said it was their manager. So basically, this will be our go-to bubble tea place going forward. Thankfully, it's close by and they actually have awesome drinks. It's a win-win-win.) This time, we decided to get their the Fresh Strawberry Latte with Panna Cotta and Black Tea Latte with Panna Cotta — seemingly an odd combination, but the panna cotta has a silky, custard-like texture, so it actually works really well in replacing typical tapioca pearls. Plus, they come in the cutest bottles and the most adorable little knitted pom-pom hats just for the holidays, and it's just really hard to resist. I think Jin would've appreciated it.
HAPPY BELATED JIN DAY!
