Viv and I wanted to take Amanda out for a birthday dinner tonight and she wanted something Asian and low-key, so she picked out Kome Shokudo for some Japanese comfort food. We got a few items to share — the gyudon poutine (with real cheese curds!), spicy chicken karaage, and korokke — and we each ordered a main dish (I picked the unagi don). Cute little cafeteria-style eatery with decent prices (it was about $20 after tax for each person, no tipping required) and good variety, plus the portion sizes are perfect for sharing so you can try out more items on the menu. Will be back to try out their beef bowls and curry dishes!
