Got my first order of BTS' Love Yourself: Speak Yourself The Final Tour merch today! This merch was released for pre-order on Weply a few weeks ago which sent the app crashing 'cause thousands and thousands (millions?) of people were trying to log in and order stuff at the same time. Even if you managed to get products into your cart, you wouldn't be able to get to the checkout page. And if you managed to get to the checkout page, you couldn't get past the payment stage. And then sometimes the app would just automatically refresh and go to the "server is under maintenance" page and you couldn't access anything. This went on for about five hours. So yeah, it was frustrating to say the least. People were slowly able to get their orders through, but by the time anyone made it to the payment page, almost everything was already sold out. After literally dozens of attempts of trying to put in my order on Weply, getting charged and then getting immediately refunded three times, my order FINALLY went through after like, the 51st attempt. Just by chance. (I say "by chance" because my friend tried to access the app at the same time I did and she couldn't even make it to the checkout page before the app crashed on her. So they were literally letting orders through in small batches globally.)
There were so many problems with the first pre-order that Weply actually had to issue a public apology, and then ended up doing a second pre-order two weeks later so anyone who missed out on getting what they wanted the first time around could get everything they wanted this time. The merch for the second pre-order will be made upon demand, so there was no worry about anything being sold out, which they should've done to begin with because people were PISSED after the first pre-order. (Like, how does BigHit not know the demand for BTS merch by now? People literally line up for 6+ hours for merch at their concerts, and online orders are GLOBAL.) So, yeah, I say this is my "first order" because I did make a second pre-order of some other things I didn't manage to get the first time around. (The second pre-orders won't start shipping until January, but still, the FOMO was real.)

In this order, I ended up getting all seven of the Premium Photos (which are WAY BIGGER than I expected — like at least three times bigger, and made with thick matted card stock and metal photo corners, so when they say "premium," THEY ARE NOT FUCKING AROUND), the towel (it matches the one I got last year during the original Love Yourself tour, and lemme tell you, these towels are surprisingly GREAT QUALITY, which I should've known 'cause they have to be able to soak up BTS' glorious sweat when they're on stage), the BTS Group Image Picket (I finally got one 'cause these are always sold out at the concerts — I originally wanted all of the members individually as well, but some of them were sold out and for me, it's all seven or nothing, so I just got the one of the group together and ordered the other seven members' individual pickets during the second pre-order), and the Poster Version 2 (they look more badass here than in Version 1, and since I could only get one because these posters are A1 size — which means THEY ARE GIGANTIC and I just don't have the wall space for both — I had to pick the cooler one). And yes, this is what I spent five hours on Weply for. Because they know that ARMY are TOTAL SUCKERS FOR MERCH. Really, BTS should just have monthly auto-withdrawals from my bank account at this point.
Now, excuse me while I go to Wal-Mart to get an A1 size poster frame and some more Command Strips.
