BTS 2019 Summer Package in Korea — PhotobookFinally got around to picking up my BTS 2019 Summer Package in Korea from the post office! I pre-ordered it from Weply ages ago and almost forgot about it. This year's version is particularly clean and sleek, maybe because the boys themselves have gotten more mature, or perhaps because this year's filming location was a very old, traditional hanok village in Korea instead of their usual beach destination. (Previous years always had more playful, summery themes, but this year's seems very... adult?) The package is contained in a hefty black transparent acrylic case with holographic printing on the lid. Inside, wrapped in thick blue traditional Korean patterned paper, contains an accordion postcard (the boys' individual photos are on one side and the kites they designed are on the other side), the "Drawing Diary" of one member (every year for Summer Package, the members have to do a "Drawing Diary," in which they have to write about what they did each day on their trip accompanied by their own illustrations; I got Jungkook's in this year's package, which I was quite happy about because he does the most detailed drawings and writes the most detailed entries in his diary than any other member), a traditional folding paper fan, premium photos for each member, a double-sided poster, the Making DVD (it documents their entire trip and includes behind-the-scenes of their photoshoots, interviews of each member, footage of group games, etc.), and — the pièce de résistance — a gorgeous 192-page photobook featuring all the beautiful shoots they took at the destination.
The 2019 Summer Package marks the last Summer Package they will ever make, which makes me somewhat sad because it's become tradition at this point... but I am really looking forward to what Winter Package will be like! I can't wait to see the boys frolicking in snow. I wonder where the first one will be. Iceland? Russia? CANADA?!!
