Had a follow-up appointment with both my cardiologist and endocrinologist today. Aside from having lost a total of 14 pounds since April and lowering my blood pressure and heart rate to normal levels, all of my blood levels have also gone back down to normal — including glucose, cholesterol, and triglycerides — for the first time since adulthood. So, to celebrate? I went to Bake Code and got myself some macarons. 'Cause nothing says, "Congrats on lowering your fat and blood sugar levels" like getting cookies, right?
