I don't listen to a ton of other K-pop, but I have always liked Heize since hearing her song "Jenga" last year. I love her voice and the flow of her delivery. What I love about Heize is that even though she has a sweet, honey-like voice, she has this dark vibe about her that switches up the mood of her music; it's this aspect that sets her apart as a female solo artist in K-pop. So when it was announced that our very own Min Yoongi (a.k.a. SUGA of BTS) had produced and helped compose her newest single, I got excited to hear what they had in store for us. (All the songs he collaborates on are gold. Cue "Song Request" with Lee Sora, "Eternal Sunshine" by Epik High, and "Wine" by Suran.) And they didn't disappoint. The video totally reflects her aesthetic: She looks cute and dainty, but everything else is dark and somber. Not quite macabre, but you know, she is in love with a skeleton. Anyway. Yeah, this song is, as expected, catchy as hell. A total bop, while keeping in line with Heize's unique sound and personality. Yoongi is a producing genius, after all. He would never allow us to hear anything less.
