WE WON, WE WON, WE WON!!!
Tonight will go down in history as the first time ever that the Raptors — the only Canadian basketball team in the NBA — not only made it to the Finals, but won the championship. It is also the first time in the 21st century that a Toronto team has won a sports championship. I've never seen the country come together and cheer for a professional sports league team like this before.
Canada is celebrating big tonight. #WeTheNorth
When the Raptors won four straight against the Bucks in the conference finals after being down 0 - 2 I knew they'd win the championship.
ReplyDeleteI was on my way to work and there were so many Fear The Deer billboards and pictures of Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packer quarterback and Bucks co-owner) at basketball games with Danica Patrick that it finally dawned on me.
Congrats!
Haha, thanks girl! There was a Raptors parade downtown today to celebrate our championship win. Over a million people showed up, including our prime minister. It was mayhem.
