Photolog 2019: Day 138 of 365 (Part 2)

We decided to go for a late brunch before heading to MetLife Stadium for the BTS concert (!). So after some Googling for best brunch places in Financial District, we headed over to Hole in the Wall. Despite its name, it's actually clean and modern with a nice spacious outdoor seating area, and though it was busy, we only had to wait 15 minutes for a table without a reservation. We both decided on iced coffees and the Pulled Pork Benedict ('cause again, when in New York, you gotta eat Eggs Benedict). Poached eggs with pulled pork, beet relish, burnt butter hollandaise, micro herbs, and lemon on sourdough toast. The meat was tender with a nice smoky sweetness, the poached eggs were perfectly runny, the hollandaise had a nice creamy texture, and the sourdough toast held up really well underneath all the topping (English muffins would have fallen apart immediately underneath the heft of the pulled pork). An excellent start to BTS Concert Day 1!
