Lee Sora just released a song today featuring Suga called "Song Request." Off the bat, I felt a kind of familiarity while listening to this song, which might have been the original intent; it's about a woman seeking solace in a song, so she requests it on the radio so the song can reflect her feelings and she doesn't have to feel as lonely. It gives off a late '90s, Sam Phillips meets Michelle Featherstone meets Air circa The Virgin Suicides kind of vibe — melancholic but comforting and nostalgic at the same time, which is probably the type of song the woman in "Song Request" wants to hear.
Two Korean music legends from two different generations. An unexpected but beautiful collaboration.
