This week's Friday Five:
- When are you the straw that stirs the drink? When I am in Manager Mode at work. I'm not afraid to calling people out on their shit. I just make sure to do it in a firm but level-headed, HR-friendly way.
- Who has delivered the most stirring rendition of your country's national anthem? The general Canadian public, altogether. There's nothing more beautiful than singing and listening to your national anthem as a united nation.
- Who or what is stirring in your vicinity? Nothing, really. I'm by myself at home and my neighbourhood is super-quiet. So, just my air purifier beside me.
- What do you like and dislike in a stir-fry? I like cashews, baby corn, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, and pretty much all meats. Actually, I like most ingredients in stir-fries but I'm not a huge fan of ginger or bell peppers. Like, I'll still eat a stir-fry if it has them in it, but I'd prefer it without. The only ingredient I actively avoid in anything I eat is cilantro.
- How do you deal with feeling stir-crazy? Go to Tim Horton's for a double-double, and have a smoke. I also like going to Shoppers Drug Mart or Wal-Mart or Loblaws and just buying something fun, whether it be a snack or hand cream or a new nail polish. I also really like Asian snack shopping at T&T or Foody Mart.
