Photolog 2018: Day 242 of 365

My dad and half-sister are heading back to China tomorrow, so we decided to celebrate their last day here with some peking duck at Dayali (which worked out really well because I had been craving peking duck for like, a month, and my dad picked the restaurant without knowing). I had pretty high expectations for Dayali given that it's a restaurant that specializes in peking duck, and despite the fact that you have to pay extra for spring pancakes as well as cucumbers and spring onions (which is bogus because peking duck as a dish is supposed to be served with them), it does live up to the hype and is actually quite reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the GTA. The duck meat is really juicy with perfectly crispy skin, and they serve the meat and spring pancakes on top of a warmer so they don't get cold and hard (as with most places). I would come again when the peking duck craving strikes.
