I was a little surprised at this collaboration at first because despite being a gorgeous model and having to wear makeup all the time, I don't think Chrissy Teigen has ever really been known for her involvement with makeup brands, nor has she ever really gone out of her way to show interest in making her mark in the makeup industry (I've followed her through her blog and on Twitter for a long time, and she's always been known for her love of food and travel, her relationship with John Legend, her work as a model and a co-host on Lip Sync Battle, and her totally uncensored and unapologetic sense of humour). But I suppose being a model for so long brings about a lot of knowledge on makeup — and with that, what looks good on different skintones and what she personally likes to see on herself — and who can perfect a summer glow more than a two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model? Chrissy Teigen has curated one stunning face palette, with the same gorgeous smooth, buttery textures and phenomenal pigmentation that Becca is known for. Whereas the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette was designed for fair to medium-dark skintones, the shades here are definitely geared more towards the medium to dark complexions. (Of course, those with fairer skintones can wear this palette, but the highlighters will definitely look more like blush toppers than true highlighters, and I would suggest using a light hand with the blush and bronzer to keep them from looking garish or muddy.) Either way, this palette gives the most beautiful sun-kissed glow that also makes skin look smoother and gently sculpted. Dare I say that this is the perfect summer face palette?
