Oh, Darling! is a light-medium warm champagne gold with a metallic sheen in a luminous pearlized finish. This is a re-promoted shade from 2015's Magic of the Night collection, and is now permanent. All my fellow highlight fiends can rejoice, for MAC has added three more beautiful shades to their Extra Dimension Skinfinish family, and they are all permanent! MAC changed the highlighter game with this formula five years ago (yes, when Whisper of Gilt made its first appearance) and we have seen dozens, maybe even hundreds, of dupes from a multitude of brands since then. A lot of people who like the metallic, pearlized sheen of Mineralize Skinfinishes but want a smoother, almost wet-looking finish will love the Extra Dimension Skinfinish formula. It's a wonder why MAC didn't make these permanent sooner because they are still some of the brand's best-selling and most-hyped products to date, but better late than never — MAC finally listened and not only made this formula permanent, but expanded the range to seven shades, including the ultra-coveted Oh, Darling! (which sold out within hours during its initial launch). That having been said, Oh, Darling! and Superb are definitely geared towards medium to deep-dark skintones, with Glow With It designed for dark to deep-dark skintones (note: Glow With It is less pearlized than both Oh, Darling! and Superb); those with fairer complexions can, of course, use all these as well, but they will act more as blushes or blush toppers than true highlighters. Regardless of which shade you decide on, you can be sure that your cheeks will be beaming to the gods.
Hey Denise, I am NW40. Do you think I could use Glow With It as an eyeshadow? I love the shade.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! It'll also look awesome as a soft highlighter! :)
