MAC launched their Eye Shadow x 9 Palettes earlier this year in February, so this marks the release of the first limited edition nine-pan palette. These palettes are great for people who want a variety of shades in different finishes in a smaller size, whether it's for portability, or because you never get through a regular-sized pan of eyeshadow, or you want to experiment with different looks without investing in a full-size palette. The MACnificent Me! palette, oddly enough, is my favourite colour wave out of all of the nine-pan palettes in existence (there are four colour waves in the permanent range), because I think it mixes a really good combination of neutrals from cool to warm, which makes the palette as a whole much more wearable and widely flattering. The permanent nine-pan palettes are all in specific colour waves (Amber, Navy, Burgundy, and Purple), which makes this one the only true neutral x 9 Palette. The nine shades in this palette go on smoothly and have decent to great colour pay-off, plus they're easy to pack on and blend out, so they're foolproof to use. This is actually a really fantastic everyday, workhorse palette for anyone and it's not too expensive, so if you're on the market for neutrals in a range of finishes that will take you from day to night, natural to smoky, this is definitely one to look at.
Ooh, other swatches I've seen made this look way too pink, but it looks much more neutral here! I always have problems trying to find a peachy shimmery shade - they're either too pink, too frosty, too something. These look like they could be it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really want to read through your recent food posts, but I've been so busy lately T_T I'm saving them!
DeleteDid you check out this palette? It's sold out in a lot of locations here, so hopefully you at least got to swatch it! And while I can see maybe one or two shades leaning slightly pink, it's definitely a very neutral palette, so it's a very wearable range overall. :)
DeleteHaha, take your time. ;) Hopefully you don't get too hungry when you read them, lol!
