As I mentioned, I went to Riot Fest at Downsview Park on Saturday. Some of my favourite bands were playing there this year and I hadn't seen them in years, so it was a wonderful day of nostalgia for me despite getting stuck in pouring rain and spending the next eight hours in soaking wet clothes (and squishing water in between my toes) and trudging through mud. Each band brought so much energy and so much passion on stage and sounded so, so, so good live that it was hard not to have a ridiculously good time despite the weather. Anyway, I thought I'd share some snapshots I took with my phone (I didn't bring my camera because they didn't allow cameras with removable lenses), in chronological order of the bands we saw throughout the day.
