Nails Inc. London Special Effects Polish in Connaught Square

After the blingy awesomeness of Nails Inc. London's Bloomsbury Square, I decided to try the other one I picked up, Connaught Square. It's a clear base with royal blue shimmer, and electric blue and violet glitter. Read my other review to see what I think of the formula and appearance of the polish, because they're the same. While Bloomsbury Square looks better in pictures (you can see more of the multi-faceted "3D Glitter" effect), I think that Connaught Square looks way better in person (the purple glitter stands out way more in real life, whereas it almost disappears in the picture). I might be biased since I tend to lean more towards cooler colours when it comes to nail polish, though. Either way, they're both absolutely worth getting. I am seriously digging the effect of these, so I really hope Nails Inc. will release more shades soon.

  1. Wow! This is beyond stunning. I've been trying to resist acquiring new nail polish (3 shoeboxes worth seems enough) but this is worthy of scoping out. DAMN.

  2. LOL, you don't even want to know how many nail polishes I have! There are about two shoe boxes worth of polishes on my desk, and an entire massive drawer filled with even more polishes. When I opened up that drawer one time, Shawn was like, "HOLY SHIT, that's where you keep the rest of your stash?! OUT OF CONTROL." Nail polishes are one of those things that you keep buying as the new colours come out... it's not like, "Oh, I'll buy a new one when I use this one up." You'll never be able to use a full bottle up unless you use the same shade every day and do your nails like, five times a week. :P That's my reason, and I'm stickin' to it!

You need to buy like, all of these glitter polishes. THEY ARE SO SPARKLY AND PRETTY.

  3. I swatched this on my thumb at the store and it dried super quickly -- and matte! It's not the same without a high-gloss finish. This shade was sold out, though. But amazingly, I think I'm out of the nail polish craze. Didn't buy a single one today and I looked at Nails Inc., Deborah Lippmann and the new Essie Luxe Effects stuff.

  4. Liz -- Yeah, this stuff does try matte. I find that most glitters do, and I need a glossy top coat to make it look the way it was intended. But I rarely ever not wear top coat, so it's not that much of an issue for me, personally... Lol, I will always find a nail polish to obsess over! It's NEVER over for me. :( I'm still on the hunt for the new Deborah Lippmann glitters -- went to Murale, and none was there. I may have to order them online. :( None of the Essie Luxe Effects stuff appealed to me, 'cause I have way too many polishes like that already. I think I may still buy the two other Nails Inc. Special Effects shades, though. :P The turquoise one is just calling out to me...
