We met up with Benton's friend, Mohammed (who lives in Montréal), for lunch, and he took us to Kanda (the location near Snowdon station) for their all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet:
Salmon sashimi, salmon sushi, smoked salmon sushi, shrimp sushi, and crab and roe salad sushi
Maki (rolls): Kamikaze, California, and Kanda
Chicken teriyaki
Salmon teriyaki
Deep-fried tofu
That's when I stopped taking pictures because there was just too much deliciousness happening on the table (including eel sushi, tuna sushi, and spicy rolls). Honestly, the food there was better than most of the Japanese buffets I've tried in Toronto. They seem to have more variety (usually, the restaurants in Toronto don't offer sashimi for lunch), the fish was super fresh, and the portions were generous. We probably ordered double of what is shown here (to be fair, we were one girl and four guys, so everything was demolished, but still, there was a shit ton of food; we went through more than five of those sushi/maki plates alone). All for $19.95 per person, including tax and tip. Worth every penny.
