My brother and I decided to get together with some of our cousins tonight for a dinner since my brother's only in town once a year. We headed over to Vivian's house instead of going out to keep it more casual and mellow. My cousin Noelle brought some awesome spicy potato salad and Min (Noelle's husband) made these epic puff pastries topped with sauteed beef and onions as an starter of sorts. Vivian and Fred (her husband) also ordered a ton of pizza, chicken wings, and potato wedges (it has been a long time since I've had pizza delivered), and Janetta made an apple galette for dessert. We actually had a really good time; it's been too long since we've all been together, especially without the parents and grandparents (we occasionally have these big family dinners that include everyone, but none of us really get to talk about anything). It's hard to believe these are the same people we used to play hide-and-seek with, and now some of them are married (and Vivian with a kid!).
