MAC MACnificent Me!: Eyeshadows

On Thursday, MAC released a new collection called MACnificent Me!, which is inspired by MAC customers and their individuality. MAC held a contest last year, and from the thousands of applicants, "found six people who are truly 100% MACnificent, transforming them into the faces of [MAC's] epic Fall colour collection. Now, be inspired and motivated to celebrate your own style, heart, and soul with MACnificent Me." MACnificent Me! sees the launch of three new and limited edition shades of eyeshadow. Each eyeshadow comes in regular black packaging, contains 1.5 grams of product, and retails for $19.

Clockwise from left: Cheer Me On, Well Behaved, and Everyone's Darling

Cheer Me On, Well Behaved, and Everyone's Darling

Cheer Me On is a medium-dark vibrant yellow-toned orange in a Matte finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. The texture is soft and finely-milled, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is brighter and more yellow than Rule, and more muted and more yellow than Genuine Orange Pigment.
Well Behaved is a medium-dark vibrant orange-coral in a Matte finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. The texture is soft and finely-milled, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is more pink than Red Brick, and darker and brighter than Coral.
Everyone's Darling is a dark warm burgundy brown in a Matte finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. The texture is soft and finely-milled, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is more brown than Sketch, and more red than Embark.

MACnificent Me! includes three new lovely single eyeshadows in autumnal shades that can be used as pops of colour alongside neutrals (the new nine-pan palette, perhaps?) or together to create a beautiful sunset/burnt leaves-inspired eye look. Cheer Me On and Well Behaved looks quite bright and intimidating in the pan, but are surprisingly wearable when blended out with neutral browns or golds, and Everyone's Darling is such a workhorse shade that works well with oranges, reds, browns, and plums (especially great for creating a warm smoky eye without relying on black). That having been said, I don't think these three shades are particularly unique especially given that all MAC Store locations carry PRO colours now. But if you're looking for some great autumnal eyeshadow shades and don't have any of the dupes listed above, these are great options for this time of year.

  2. OOOh I was trying to think of what this combination reminded me of, and it's my Shiseido Floracouture trio! That one is shimmery and the pink is paler, but now I want to pull it out again :D

    1. Ooh, just Googled photos of that Shiseido trio and they're lovely! Although these shades here are definitely way brighter and in-your-face, lol.
