The main reason for my going to Riot Fest to begin with was, of course, Alexisonfire. In my lifetime, I have seen them 18 times live, from their first EP, to the releases of their first LP to their fourth LP, to their farewell show in 2011. When I heard they were going to do a reunion show at Riot Fest, I didn't even care who else was going to be there; I needed to be there. Maybe it's because I haven't seen them live in four years now, but they seemed to sound better than ever, like their time apart allowed them to mature musically and artistically, to really care about their synchronicity. It was during this performance that Alexisonfire officially announced their come back, and it was really such a tremendous moment for those of us who have been following them for their entire career. Thus, I took more photos of them than any of the other bands we saw that day, so excuse this singular post dedicated just to them.
