Think I did all my cosmetics shopping at Sephora? Who do you think I am? A rookie?

Tony Moly Tangerine Whitening Hand Cream and Banana Hand Milk

Tony Moly Dear Me Waterful Skin Toner and Fondante Strawberry Milk All In Rizer Toner Lotion

I ended up going to Pacific Mall again with my friend Viv because she needed to buy vape refills for her friend, so we decided to look around at the usual Korean beauty boutiques while we were there. At Tony Moly, we saw that they added Tangerine to their fruit hand cream series, so I obviously had to get one of those (I have to complete my fruit collection, you know?), plus another Banana Hand Milk because I already finished my last one. We also noticed that they had some skincare on sale, so we both picked up a bottle of their Dear Me Waterful Skin Toner ("a mild toner that is full of moisture, which transforms your precious and lovely skin into clean and pure skin") for $5.99 and a bottle of Strawberry Milk All In Rizer Toner Lotion ("a dual layer toner and lotion that sloughs off dead skin cells and locks in moisture for long-lasting hydration") for $7.99.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula VB Effector and Mini Bebe Hand Cream in Fresh Lime (x 2)

It's Skin Macaron Lip Balm in Green Apple and Pineapple

We also went into It's Skin, where they were having some sort of Spring promotion in which everything in the store was 25% off. We both picked up a bottle of their Power 10 Formula VB Effector for sebum control (we were intrigued by this last time but didn't pick it up, so when we saw that it was on sale, we decided to finally try it out), and I got two more of the Fresh Lime Bebe Hand Creams (I love to keep one in my tool belt because it's fast-absorbing and kills any lingering smoke scent on my hands after I sanitize), plus two of their Macaron Lip Balms in Green Apple and Pineapple because they were way too fucking cute to resist.

The Face Shop Lovely Me:Ex You & Face Blusher in 02 Gold Glow, 03 Purple Fantasy, and 08 Orange Syrup

The Face Shop Glitter Shadow in RD01, GL01, BR01, PP02, and PP01

Finally, we stopped by The Face Shop, where they were having their Spring make-up promotion (buy five items or more, and get 25% off). I was never really intrigued with their make-up before (I have a couple of their Pastel Cushion Blushes, which are cute but not overly impressive), but we figured we'd take a look 'cause, you know, we're not ones to snub a cosmetics sale. And after doing some heavy swatching, we realized that there are some real gems in The Face Shop's make-up range. We picked up three Lovely Me:Ex You & Face Blushers in their highlighting shades (they're smooth, finely-milled, and have a gorgeous iridescent finish), plus five shades of their Glitter Shadows, which remind me a whole lot of Ardency Inn's Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments, except for $10 a pop (and that's before the discount). For some reason, I never noticed these particular eyeshadows before (and I notice all things glittery), so I think they might be new. I may have to go back in and get some more shades while the sale's still on.

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow (clockwise from left): Starry Eyed, Whimsical, Daydreamer, Masquerade, Pegasus, High Wire, Charmed, Fantasy, Fortune Teller, and Untamed

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow (clockwise from left): Rapunzel, Yellow Brick Road, Cosmopolitan, Poppy, Simply Marlena, High Tea, Prom Night, Wisteria, Pop Culture, and Glass Slipper

MAC is Beauty: Beauty Powder in Pearl Blossom and Alpha Girl; Eyeshadow in Preening, Yogurt, Wow Factor, and Bouffant; Nail Lacquer in Doll Me Up and French Tipped

MAC is Beauty: Lipsticks

MAC is Beauty: #221 (x 3) and #137 Brushes

After much anticipation, Makeup Geek finally came out with ten new Foiled Eyeshadows (!!!), so I pre-ordered the whole expansion set (they are stunning; swatches and review to come!). While I was on the site, I decided to get ten more of their regular eyeshadows (including the four they released for Spring) plus a large Z Palette since I was paying for shipping, anyway. And, as you already know, I got almost the entire MAC is Beauty collection that came out in early April (I already posted reviews of the lipsticks, eyeshadows, and powders). Weirdly enough, my favourite products from the collection are the brushes; the #137 has become my go-to highlighting brush and I love the new #221 mini tapered blending brush so much, I bought three of them. I would say that May is gonna be a low-key month for cosmetics shopping, but you know that would be a lie (especially given that MAC will be releasing their big Summer collection in two weeks... and that I already bought two of the new Urban Decay Afterglow Blushes and I fully intend on getting two/three/four more).

    1. So far, it's been pretty good. The texture is very watery, which I quite like because it doesn't feel heavy on my already oily skin. And it does keep me matte for longer, but it's not a huge improvement. I still have to blot my face by lunch. Will use it for another month or so and re-assess.

  2. I checked out TFS blushes and shadows and they were all too shimmery for me. I didn't mind it in the shadows too much but the texture felt kind of thin. Drooling over the MUG shadows!

    1. I will say that the TFS eyeshadows I bought are very shimmery (I bought the glitter ones because I LOVE SPARKLE), but I didn't think the texture was thin at all -- they went on very smooth and buttery! Maybe we swatched different ones?

The MUG shadows are so freakin' gorgeous, it's honestly a wonder that they're not available in stores yet. But maybe that's how they keep the prices so low, so I can't complain. But it's one of those brands where I treat 'em like Pokemon: Gotta catch 'em all!
