So, in an unexpected turn of events, Taylor Swift's 1989 has totally become my most recent guilty pleasure.

LOL I can't. I'm a hater :P
ReplyDeleteHer makeup game is always on point, though.
I didn't love her music when she was a "country" singer, but I love her songs as a full-fledged pop artist. As for her as a person... I'm kinda indifferent. I don't really care about her personal life, though I do think she's quite charming and cute in interviews.
DeleteBut yes, agreed, her makeup always looks flawless. Her outfits, too. I also love her shorter hair!
I'm definitely hearing Lorde's influence in this song. I stand neutral on Taylor. I think she's actually quite smart and incredibly business savvy. And she makes me want to put on a red lipstick RIGHT NOW.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the beat and slower tempo on this song is very Lorde-esque. :)
DeleteAnd I totally agree with you on Taylor. Don't hate her, don't love her, but I do think her latest record is really catchy and widely appealing. And yes, she knows exactly what she's doing and I think she's playing the game really, really well. I mean, you don't make $40 million in one year if you're not making the right decisions (she made more than Beyonce and Justin Bieber last year!).
